Instead of a bushy nose could I put a 10in common pleco in for algea control, Or is this a really bad idea?

the common as a small little guy would not be a problem...but they grow to huge... and pretty fast growing too... then he would need to be rehoused.. where as the bushy always stays small..

This common has gotten up to 10in and not gotten any bigger, he has been this size for 2 years, and then I don't know how many more years the people had him for. He is feed well, with algea waffers and left over fish food.

So yes this is an ok pleco to put in witht the babys? The pleco won't eat any of them?

Or should I just go with the bushy?

i would go with the bushy for safer keeping.. plecos do eat everything.. they would eat eggs if they came across them.. most angels are on the top line of the water..plecos on the bottom.. not much trouble ..

cool mine just spawn today again. i say them do it this time and the male did his job. :D wish me luck.

Congrats!

Update: I have removed all of the gravel from the 55 gallon to put the angelfish babys into. I just need to find a home for the 10in common pleco and a marble angel that is full grown. I think they will be off to The Fish Store.
