The biggest problem for me is 80% of the bikes I see are going WAY to fast, bobbing and weaving in and out of traffic and acting like they own the road. The reputation ruins it for the guys just out for a good ride.I always like to see I'd start seeing bikes if they started driving in the lanes at the speed limit like they are supposed to.
I was almost hit by a bike in my car on the highway two weeks ago. Had I not braked when he cut me off, I would have hit him and run him over. Guy was doing well into the triple digits bobbing and weaving. After cutting me off, popped a wheelie and started passing on the shoulder. IMO - more win than Charlie Sheen right there.
Reminded me of this video.
You beat me to it. Your bike needs to be as loud as possible. Totally agree with the last part, too.aclockworkorange;5079865; said:I ride.
Every time I pull out of the driveway I just pretend everyone in a car is on a mission to murder me.
I now ride exceptionally loud vintage "cafe racers" (Hondas mostly)... Ever since I started modifying my exhaust to be obnoxious, people seem to notice I'm around more.
If you dont want to ride a bike, fine. The rest of us will keep riding. Life is short anyway, and I've never experienced any sensation like riding a bike. There are plenty of other things you do every day that could kill you. Motorcycles might be a bit more risky, but there's plenty of other things people do that are much worse.![]()
