Animal Planet's anti-exotic new world order

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yup they cut jeff, he now has a cooking show, where he goes around the world looking for exotic cultural dishes then tracks down every ingredient. its pretty cool, but nothing like the experience

Think about it this way......what is cheaper to film, a local hysteria based scripted animal melodrama or traveling all over the world in search of animals in the wild?
Unfortunately, that is very short sighted, as quality sells, crap doesn't. Some businesses and industries have a clue while some don't.

I did'nt know that he was cut from the channel but I read an article which stated that he is trying to get into journalism. He even had a recent special on CNN....I watch a channel called PlanetGreen lately. They recently aired The Cove, about the dolphin slaughters in Japan..This channel should be competition for that other station if it is not a part of it.

"look at this, look at this, look look look, look at this!" lol, loved that guy.

Animal Planet has dropped to the level of other mass media sources, "if it bleeds, it leads," mentalilty. Sad. I have started voting with my feet and changing the channel.

I always loved him too, especially when he would get so excited over something. That and his jokes that he was getting eaten or whatever when he would reach his hand into a hole or something like that.

Animal Planet is now doing I believe a 4 part mini series on The Cove, one of the few shows I may actually be intrested in from that channel. It looks like it will be intresting. I havent seen the film on it yet though.
