Well sorry to hear that, fact is, ive kept my alligator snapper for the past 2 years with, sliders, cooters, terrapins, softshells, other snappers and painters. The common snappers caused more problems then the gator ever did.

Well I think you need to post a pic of this, it's sound wild! This has to be a pond set up and you can't compare that to a 72 gallon bow front. What size is this alli?

Cool! Got pics? My common snapper was a beast too :)

Yeah, plus they're horribly vicious lol

snappers only 4", got him when he was 1 1/2" along with my cooter and musk turtle, which i got about dime sized, They are 3-5" now. Try and post some pics soon

Just wait till the snapper grows up lol. They're little chickens when they're small.

I was picturing them all as adults and together in a big pond...

You could try several species like maps, painteds, cooters and other sliders. Just make sure you quarentined anything you put in that tank, that all animals are more or less the same size and if its your intention to keep them in there for life , make sure that your especimens are male( be carefull about mixing male sliders) because this will save you many worries when it comes to egg laying time:naughty:.But when it comes to put snappers or even soffties in that tank:no:grinno:. The risk is to hight
