Believe what you want to believe and end it there. Unless someone is willing to set up 12 or more 300g tank with all the scenarios and even sacrifice any Aro with DE, there will never be an absolute answer.

True we may never know for sure, but to point out the 2 or 3 theories that actually are plausible is better than having like 20 being spread around. Take the reflection theory for instance. It basically sounds like lamark's theory of evolution, which was basically, completely wrong.

You my friend claim the DE is caused by fat build up. I only suggested the tissue behind the eye is the result of the DE such as maybe in the case of swelling form and injury. There are a couple people here on MFK that have drained a yellow fluid from behind the DE, does this sound like fat to you?
My arguement was based upon the fact that there is strong positive correlation between poor diet and genetics with the symptoms of drop eye. You have not been able to provide any "valid proof" to actually prove it wrong therefore, I don't think you should criticize others when they can show correlation with drop eye and the independant variables.
