Another dog biting story

LOL a dog biting once is not a "proven biter". ANY dog can bite. Hell, when I am rough with my mom's dogs they occasionally bite me. But otherwise are the most harmless and skittish dogs. A dog biting once is NEVER a proven biter. A dog will bite when it is scared or stressed out. And dogs do bite people they are not familiar with (again, scared). FACT. I am failing to see the logic of killing a dog simply for being a dog. Like I say, it has no reasoning skills and does not know that it has done something wrong. Especially from it's point of view where it is scared/stressed. Killing a dog in a situation like this accomplishes nothing other than prove how some people are ignorant and feel superior to animals. And the judge is another typical people-pleaser without any balls.

Hello; Some of this makes no sense at all.

"a dog biting once is not a "proven biter". A single bite is a bite no matter how you try to spin it. I can provide explainations and illustrations if needed.

"I am failing to see the logic of killing a dog simply for being a dog." This is not the case. The dog bit and severly injured a child. I sincerely hope that it does not become generally accepted for dogs to bite children for the rationalized excuses you and others have presented. Children should not be bitten by dogs peroid, the dogs point of view takes a back seat when a child gets over 10 stiches.

"Killing a dog in a situation like this accomplishes nothing other than prove how some people are ignorant and feel superior to animals." If the dog is put down it will never have the opportunity to bite another person which is something more than nothing.

So if I go up to a dog and start strangling it and it bites me in self-defense this is a "proven biter" that needs to be killed to "protect children". Sounds like pretty stupid logic to me. And what about the parents who have reasoning skills an animal doesn't have? Are they "proven idiots" and should have their balls and ovaries cut out to "prevent them from having more children?"

It just blows my mind how some people can call a dog a proven biter and a danger to society and not even consider the circumstances.

Contrary to popular belief, children are not the most important thing. Too bad you've been indoctrinated that way. What I hate about people that hold this opinion is they lack consistency. They will change their beliefs depending on the circumstance or people involved.

Hello; I do not think your post will help your cause as it misrepresents the situation. I suppose a case might be made of a dog acting in self defense if an adult person were "strangling" it. However this incident involved a two (2) year old child. Also from the information given the child was described as "hugging", not strangling.
I also fail to see the objection to calling the dog a "proven biter" after it has bitten a person. The dog bit a person. One bite equals a proven biter by my way of thinking. If a person steals something for the first time that person is a thief. Doing something one time actually does count as doing that thing.
As far as protecting children goes, this way of expressing the danger this dog presents comes from the fact that a child was involved. While it seems reasonable to think that this particular dog can be a threat to bite adults, the only actual bite that is reported is on a child. So yes, a dog that has bitten a child should be perceived as a threat to bite another child. Putting the dog down is a sure way to eliminate such a threat.
Look at it from the judge’s point of view in terms of consequences. What if the judge allows the dog to live and it indeed does bite again? I understand that you must only be concerned about the consequence for the dog. There are other things to consider.

Hello; While I acknowledge that we each can have a ranking of what is important to us, I cannot place dogs above people. You "hate" people like me. I get it. I am afraid I do not follow the lack of consistency part.

not sure what to make of this one,

I think he means the famous phrase, "woman and children first" in case of a disaster, Why is the adult male always expendable?
Oh yeah?....he would have been a sight to see if he was on the Titanic.
