Very interesting spirited thread! I'm wondering... do ALL captive arowanas get DE eventually? I can't really tell from your posts how common it actually is.
Also the only time I've seen fish swimming at an angle was with a strong light source coming from the side.

It would be had to find a 30"+ silver with out DE. But I'm sure they are out there. I have a 16-17" silver that still has not developed DE.

i've never ever ver seen a silver aro over 2ft that didn't have DE.
