The owners of one of the companies I contact for does this. Flies to 3rd world countries which have little to no revenue, pays them astronomical funds, and kills rare and exotic animals. Cheetahs, leopards, hippos, elephants, rhinos. Endless photos. Tells me it is legal, which it is by the laws of man. 600 ft office with probably 30-50 dead animals of the walls and floors.
The money goes to the local economy and conservation he says. Blah blah blah.
I've shot deer which I've eaten, and harvested plenty of fishes. But to pay a huge sum to kill animals with endangered populations, then relieve your guilt by saying the money helps conserve them from other people who don't have the money to "legally" kill them is something I cannot understand. Logic I'm unable to follow.
