Another new (old) mod- Koltsixx!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I wish to give Kolt a formal reintroduction to the community as a staff member. He's back and ready to rock his reds again. As with Tom, any of my old Staff MFKers who were removed are welcome to step back into their role whenever they're ready to reassume that role.

Kolt is a long and well established member of our community, having been one of the key staff members back in the oft mentioned "golden days" of the forum, and a key helper in having helped the forum survive the Great Server Crash of May 2015 that nearly ended this great community.

Please join me in officially welcoming Kolt back into the fold!
Welcome back from a real happy newbie!

Sincerely thank you everybody for the warm welcome back it's greatly appreciated.

Ah, the good ole days that Chicxulub often speaks of I remember them well. The camaraderie the bans the constant spam. It was a great time. lol I look forward to even better times though with all the new members and old coming together.

Welcome back Josh

Before either of us joined lol

Before the Great Server Crash of May 2015.

The forum as basically dead when we got everything fixed mid-June 2015. I started a focused social media campaign, later spearheaded by Gr8KarmaSF Gr8KarmaSF , to get the membership back and active again. It was wildly successful, but many of those who showed up weren't registered members before the Crash.

Now, the forum has roughly the same level of activity as it had pre-Crash, but with more real people online at any given time. While we typically have more real people online at any given time now than we did pre-Crash, each person posts less original content than each person did pre-Crash. Our total member base now is about 125% of what it was in May 2015, meaning we've grown twice as fast after the Crash compared to before.

All of this has resulted in the forum having quite a different feel to it than it did before the Crash. There's some MFKers who long for what was lost in 2015 (hence the golden age comments), but we have to play the cards we're dealt.
