Did the labled loisellei x Chairel hybrids look like that? I have never seen one in person. I have to say the fish picture you posted does look like an Astatheros type fish.
I agree. There is an Astatheros look to them. BUT REMEMBER, DCT sold a calobrensis / grammodes hybrid recently too, so it wouldn't be precedent setting to have a calobrensis based hybrid coming from DCT.
I'm very familiar with calobrensis, and from my in person view I can say they are not calos. Perhaps calo/carp? Who knows?
The question is where did that made up species name come from?
