Are you going to coat the canopy with the blue stuff/epoxy?

Fantastic. i'd add a hinge or two more on the opening part of the canopy, just to be sure.

I'm following this thread so I can see it when you're done. GREAT WORK!

Those 2 hinges are there just to test the opening movement, and have now been removed so that I can paint the lid. There will be at least 4~6 hinges on there at the end.

That I am still not 100% sure, but I will probably be using the blue stuff, however, I do have 5 gallons of 100% epoxy in the house that I can use.

On the outside of the canopy (and tank) I will be staining the plywood and adding trim to the corners and edges.

The glass arrived around 6:00pm last night (Korean time, Monday night), but we had a dinner appointment with some friends, so I will be installing it today

Hopefully I will have some glass installed photos for y'all in a few hours.

Too funny

I am lucky to have a great wife who doesn't mind looking after my fish while I am away from home.....in fact she's starting to like him.

As for the pool table, it's about 4 foot long x 2 foot wide (my daughters).

Woohoo, the 2 pieces of glass are in installing the first (big) one was a bit nerve racking at first, but the job went quite smoothly, concidering I was on my own.

But...........and there's always a but!!!!!

When I did the fiberglassing, I kind of left a little too much resin in the corners, so at first the glass wouldn't fit. I had to take my dremel (awesome tool) and grind some of the corners out first. Dust all over the apartment, the Mrs wasn't too pleased about that.
