My bass did NOT go into this tank. It was a very tough dicision but the right one. My LM Bass is an awesome fish, but he was not right for this tank.

I am curious as to why you chose not to put your bass in this tank? I have to be honest with you... I always kinda thought the tank was a little too small for it but I never said anything to you because you seemed so passionate about this build, that I didn't want to deter you if that's what you really wanted to do.

I think the tank size would be OK for him as his growth rate had slowed right down to where he is pretty much fully grown as his is a male bass.

The reason we decided against putting my bass in this tank was mainly a visual concern. He is not an active fish unless it is feeding time so for a living room tank it would not be interesting at all.
The fish we have in this tank now are active, fun and very interesting to watch.....in fact, I may move my sofa to right in front of this tank as it is more entertaining than the TV.

:D :D

I have just fitted some blue fluresent lights to my canopy. So I now have blue and white lights wired up on switches so that I can have either blue, white or both lights on at one time. I'll try and take some photos of the 3 different settings and post them here if the pictures come out well enought.

I also have an old canister filter that I am trying to rig up as a "poop vacuum collection system", but I am having trouble getting it to suck. Once I get it worked out I post something about it.

Very nice Bro,
I do like the blue/white combo. It really shows the front to back depth better. I hope my lighting comes out as well.

Datnoids, would be a great fish to grow out in that tank, fairly inexpensive as small fish, slow growers, and worth a TON of money when they get around the '6" and up' size...
(like under $40 for 2-3", to several hundred and on up to 4 digits for the big ones) ;)
