If i get the 6 bulb t5:
1) what ranges of coral will that cover? Is that considered medium to high lighting?
2) will i have a problem with algae?

I think 6 bulbs over that size tank will give you the option to have any type of coral. SPS being positioned higher up in the tank, LPS & softies are easier to maintain and grow faster. Algae shouldn't be a problem as long as you keep a good lightning/feeding schedule & have a good protein skimmer.

Oh yeah...skilters are trash - don't waste you money. If you want a cheaper skimmer, but one that still skims really good get one by Coralife or Eshopps.

I have a question about corals
While on the that fish place website, lookin at corals it had a category of coral agressivenes. What does this mean?

Six bulbs will also cover more of your tank leaving less dark spots. The biggest cause of algae for me is frozen foods. I have left my lights on for almost a week straight with no addition algae growth. I feed a small piece of LRS or Rods frozen I am cleaning my glass for the next few days. As for coral aggression corals can sting each other. Not all will sting. Just space the coral out so they don't touch and you will be fine. Some LPS corals have tenticles with expand so you might want to give them a little extra room.

What coral are you looking into?

DO NOT go to aquacon, there is a reason CON is in the name. Do a google search, alot of people have been ripped off from them. I would buy dry rock from marco or BRS cheaper, denser and looks great. You definitely should invest in a skimmer.

realize that if you go sps or lps, you will need to dose your aquarium.

check this thread out, it's a pretty good explanation of reef chemistry: http://reefcentral.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2153097

search that section for questions you are asking, there are tons of good information for the beginner.

if i was in your shoes, i would set up a cool softie tank with some mushrooms, leathers, green star polyps, maybe easy to keep lps like candycane or frogspawn, would make a cool tank.

here is a link to beginner corals and pics to give you an idea: http://www.liveaquaria.com/product/aquarium-fish-supplies.cfm?c=597+2856

Thans alot for this. Before that i had only seen one or two reveiws, nothing that showed how bad they were. Bulk reef supply is much better, I think ill order from them when I do. Theyre cheaper and are the only other place I could find that branch rock i liked
