Another Tank Question

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Thanks for the input, I'll definitely be keeping everyone posted. I dont know what kind of lights come with it, I am going to call the guy tomorrow and ask to see some pictures of everything and find out the specific details. He said the filter cost him 450, so I'm curious to see what kind it is. Idk about the terns or caribes, they would probably be hard to get where I live. So I will most likely stick to the plan of getting two more RBP's, but you never know. @ drUgs, ha thanks for the offer but I'm gonna have to sell my old 55 gal setup to help pay for the new home. I may be going to look at the tank next week and we'll see what happens. I'll let you guys know what's goin on cuz I know you're all just dying to find out....haha

you could always order your piranhas........

x2

I cant find anything but RBP's at my live fish store, so I go to the online stores :headbang2

Rumor has it that Shark Aquarium might get some small terns in next month

Yea I spose I could ha, just never ordered fish online before, I'm just one of those people that has to be able to see something in person in order to buy it, but who knows. I'm gonna go look at some stores online right now haha. I might of also just gotten a hot lead to another 125 gal for even cheaper...

Well I talked to the guy lastnight and he neglected to tell me a few things, first of all there are no lights that come with the tank, and the wet/dry filter is just that, it doesnt come with a pump or plumbing at all. Also, the guy was not willing to lower to the price at all. So I have some decision making ahead of me. I was also wondering, about how much am would I be looking at to get that filter up and running? Cost of pump and plumbing etc.? Thanks again

Its a good price as is but I think you could do better a filter will run you a couple hundred you could do a diy filtration, where I live you can find that size tank with stand lights, glass tops brand new for around $600 or so without a filter of course if Piranhas are what you are going to put in the tank the more filtration the better........jmo

whats the point of DIYing a filter if he already has a wet/dry considering most commonly when you DIY a filter you are making a wet/dry

yea it has the filter/tank itself, I just need the plumbing and pump to go with it, anyone have any idea what this might cost to do?

I'm giving my man some options, just a wet/dry an't going to get it as far as this deal goes (thats my opinion) he's got to get a pump (more $), plumming (more $) media, what if theres a problem with the sump itself he hasn't seen it come on lets just try to help this guy not nick pick what I said cool?
