another Tenecor let down

Some things to remember in this: Tenecor won't just come and pick up the tank. Tenecor may accept it back on a warranty, but the shipping will be on the purchaser's dime. That is why it is important to verify things beforehand. It is one of the reasons that I went with Midwest Custom instead of Tenecor. Tenecor outs out a lot of great tanks, but if 15% are bad (like this one), would you want to take the chance with your $2500 that you would be part of that 15%? I believe the % of bad tanks is >15%, but I was using it as an example. Tenecor has gone down hill a long way.
Isn't there not a policy when the shippers deliver the tank, that if the tank was unacceptable upon delivery, you are suppose to contact the vendor immediately and not accept it, yes, no?
Yes, always inspect tanks before accepting the shipment. He should not have accepted this tank from the shipper. It is then the shippers responsibility to return the tank.
I wasn't saying he didn't have a right to be upset. I was just saying that calling and having an attitude with customer service isn't the best way to try and fix things. My wife worked that kind of job for a while and it sickens me to hear how rude people are when she wasn't sure what was going on.
In another thread on here a Tenecor representative said some crazing and small bubbles were normal, so I don't know if you could dispute the purchase based on not getting what you ordered if they've already said publicly that can happen with their product.
I will say though he should've researched more on the company he was ordering from. If he knew it was possible to get quality like this and took the chance anyways I think he has a little less room to complain. I'd actually be curious to know why he chose tenecor when there are other companies that I've never heard a bad thing about like Midwest Custom Aquariums.
Wow that's embarrassing. Funny thing is, Tenecor is a sponsor here, and supposedly are trying to make things right. Good luck with that!
By the way, did you guys inspect the tank before the delivery guy drove off? I would have made him wait until I inspect it thoroughly. Upon seeing that crap, I would have made him take it back.
my boy basically had to sign it because he had no one to help him move it from the curb for a couple of hours and the delivery guy couldn't wait. yeah I know he should have inspected the tank before he signed but Tenecor should never have shipped this tank in the first place. the Tenecor distributor here is also a good friend and couldn't believe it and sent a long email to Tenecor he's still waiting for their responce. also out of 10 tanks sent here 8 had shoddy workmanship or missing parts. my friend is now looking for another tank builder.
Dang!my boy just received his 8'x3'x2' and while unwrapping the tank noticed where the front and bottom panels meet
I can't believe Tenecor would actually ship this tank! it looks as if a 3yr old added the acrylic cement there! I guess they have no quality control.also their customer service is horrible it seems as if they will only answer/respond when they are building your tank but once it's shipped nothing.
They treated you guys as 3rd world country citizen!!!
