During grow-up the color intensity of many bichirs varies (darker --> lighter --> darker), and this one is getting into the intense color stage.

It's more than 2ft, roughly estimated is around 25~26".

That male congicus in the background looks gigantic.

That congicus is still growing. I also expect the ansorgii would grow over 30".
