Yah, thanks anyway. LOL! :D

I have a 150gal, with a 9 endys, 2 ornats, 4 dels, 2 sene, 1 lap.. 1 asian aro and a datnoid. And im just wondering how it works out for u with that much fish in such a "small" tank?... Im thinking of keeping my fish in the 150 for a while...

What kind of filtration do you have?
I have 2 eheim 2028 prof. 2. And an inner-pump (also eheim).
It uses a 60gal sump tank, that's how it works. :headbang2

That sounds new to me. Here's mine, and let me see yours for comparison.

it's really not a big difference, but it's there. Both of yours have similar head shape, so it's not just your biggest one. Below are some pics of mine. this is my biggest one, not as big as yours though. only about 22". the front of the head (the mouth region) looks slightly 'tilted up' and is not as thick and robust looking. does that make any sense? :D

and in the last pic, the big one is at the back, and you can see a similar head shape with the smaller one in front. i don't know...both of these came from the same batch, so may be it's the particular batch...

LOL, you are really into details, bro. But, yup, the difference is there. Yours looks like "head-up", and mine looks like "looking forward". Btw, that lap on the lower left corner on the last pic has great contrast. thumb up.

LOL yeah i'm into details here because i wish mine were like yours :D And because all the huge ones i saw pics of have head like yours, so i kinda feel your 'type' has the potential to grow to monster size, i know not scientific at all :D

thanks :) that's a Koliba (or as it turns out 'Koloton', which supposedly differ from 'Koliba' in greater contrast and a slight difference in pattern arrangement. To be honest though, that's too much details even for me LOL so i basically treat the two as the same).

Wow that ansorgii is beautiful. At what size do they go from their light stage back to a dark stage?

I blame you both grrr.....

Ok here are the 3 areas that look different to me

congicompare.jpg

congicompare2.jpg

the last large scale before the pectrol fin looks rounded on CDM's and elongated on Inf's.

The ridge behind the eyes looks wider and more pronounced on CDM's

The top lip angle seems to slope downward on CDM's and straight out from Inf's...

I think the ridge behind the eyes is also what makes the head look like it is looking up or down.

Thanks vanimate. It's started painted dark since 13~14", and well, let's say it depends on individuals (also on the environment).

LOL...... that's more than details....:banhim::D:D:D, but, what what you've compared are clear and straight forward. Unfortunately, I have no information about where my congicus are from coz LFS here never care where are their bichirs from. Thank you bro.

CDM, you have ALWAYS had the best lookin pics of the best lookin fish. I always get so jealous! :D

But ya know what? My time will come.... I will get my house and my massive tank and then it's ON! lol
