Now, here are some details from Anthony. He has emailed me a few times and has actually apologized for the whole situation. He said he feels really bad about this whole thing and basically wants to fix whatever can be fixed.
There appears to be some kind of deal between Anthony and his cousin, the guy who shipped these NGT's from the Phillipines, that looks like a conignment deal. Anthony has not corroborated this but it seems that there is no way in hell Anthony can let me have the fishes for less than $900 a piece no matter what, and it boils down to his cousin. Maybe his cousin sent Anthony the fishes and asked a lot more for them or something but I do not have any proof of this. I am just guessing based on the fact that there is no budging on the price or availability of the NGT's.
Anthony offered me a 15 inch Wide Bar Datnoid for FREE to compensate me for my grief and troubles. This is a fish that can easily sell for $700 but Anthony is offering it for FREE. I only have to pay shipping for it. This is, in my opinion, a very good offer and an extremely generous way on Anthony's part to heal some wounds. This is the person I have been used to dealing with in the past and I guess that person is resurfacing now.
I declined the offer for the free Datnoid because I simply don't feel right accepting an expensive fish like that when he can make money off it by selling it to someone else. I paid for 2 NGT's and that is all I wanted, nothing more and nothing less.
It is very clear that I will not be able to get my fishes but I did get an echeck for the whole $1305.00 owed to me. This e-check has not cleared yet and paypal said it is scheduled to clear on Feb. 3, 2006 so I will post on that too when the date comes around.
I ended up getting nothing out of my wait and money invested but at least I appear to be getting my whole amount back. I lost 2 fishes, a lot of time and a person that I considered once a friend.
It is my opinion that Anthony learned something the hard way because of this thread and I believe it will help him improve his business practices and his customer skills. To all of you that read this, sent me PM's, had bad experiences with Anthony, etc. I encourage you to drop him an email and talk things over with him. I know he will be able to fix the wrongs and better the goods.
I think that because of this bad scenario Anthony will be making a lot of customers happy from now on and keeping them that way.
