Any Bonsai tree Keepers?

I have always wanted to get into bonsai trees. Do any members keep any that would be willing to help a guy get started?

Ideally I would like to replicate a mangrove swamp or Cambodian temple etc...
 
My ex gf tried to keep one in our apartment, she totally killed the poor thing in less than a month.

I kept telling her she's over watering but......

They are beautiful though, I'd try my hand at it wheni have more time to spare.

Bonsai is outdoor tree.

In the first link the ponytail palm is considered a bonsai;so I have had a bonsai for quite a few years now sitting in my dining room window lol!

From what I understand it's not the plant itself but it's how the plant is crafted/sculpted.

Lol, same here!! My aunt gave it to me a couple months ago and I have been needing to replant it.

Did you get a load of that Bouganvillea?......really nice....and Kid,that's how I've always understood it too.I knew that there were different types.
