Any help for a severely beaten red devil?

add a cap of melafix every 2 days make the tank as dark as possible and hope she will pulll through

Put stress coat in the tank with her. She might not make it,because the male literally scaled her.

sorry for your loss. next time make sure you have divider. and always introduce threw the divider first. especially for larger species of cichlids.

if wouldnt have gotten rid of my female i would have gave it to you! that girl was evil! she tried to attack anything that cam close to the glass!! my face the dog, and the cat!

I'm so sorry for your loss, she looked like a great fish. She didn't have much chance of survival, her immune system would be overwhelemed as she would have no scales or slime coat to protect her.

Thanks. I will always use the divider when reintroducing fish, lesson learned.

The confusing thing for me is how well they had gotten along for years and for two previous spawnings. I guess that their behavior changes as the fish grows.

yea their tudes do change! as RD's and most other cichlids get larger they get so aggresive!
