Eh, Id throw him in the trunk. I do have a small car though! Should be interesting! LoL itd be funny if I got a flat and before I got out my spare I had to move out a huge pissed off snapper!

Im only going to have like a 2 hour window to go looking for these but I really hope to catch one or two. When I was younger and I lived in Alabama I use to catch them all the time up to around 30 pounds...I was only 11 or 12 then too! I remember thinking they were so big then.

Yes, ally snappers are legal to harvest in Florida. Like I said, if no one wants one I will make turtle soup!

I don't know if you eat it, but could you save me the head? Possibly with a few attached vertebrae? If you toss it anyway, I'd like to take a shot at preparing a skull mount. Thanks a lot- I'll be back in Louisville in May, hope you have freezer room?

Im sorry fellas I read the laws wrong. It IS legal to harvest alligator snapping turtles in FL, however the possession limit is only one, dead or alive. In other words I can not harvest another alligator snapper until I eat all of the left over turtle soup from the first one. If I have any left overs I guess I could send ya some soup though!
