Not to knock your idea's or ambitions,but take it from me its going to be rougher on you than you think.Everyone starts out wanting to be the best price and have the best quality out there,but the 2 dont mix well without spending alot of money.I sell Marbles all day for 250.00 each at 8-9"
But i'm still sitting on some that eat all the time?Teacups for 32.00 is not that cheap of a price{ for someone on the internet},but after bringing them in you'll find out you will lose at least 75% of them no matter how well you try and treat and get them to eat ,they are the hardest ray to keep alive in the begining,their refusal to eat in the first few weeks is rediculas,and the amount of money to pay out to get them to eat will cost you alot.I wont even bring them in anymore without someone paying up front for them at no gaurentee from me.
Tigers are 50/50, sometimes they eat right away{if your lucky}most take a couple weeks,and then you better hope they were caught and shipped from the exporter within a week or so or they will come in real thin and there goes that 50/50 chance again.I wouldnt even sell a Tiger for under 500.00 because of the cost of treating ,water and food.Hell i look at Pedro right now selling flowers at 9"-10" for 450.00 and that is way to cheap,because of the cost that he will suffer until they are ready for shipping and {SOLD}.I treat all my rays and get them eating before i will ship them out,the cost is big,and once your dad see's the electric bill and water bill ,you may begin paying for that too.
If your buying from a wholesaler ,how well do you know his connections ?At the price your saying he wont gaurentee them for you.
If your buying from a transhipper you get no gaurentee at all.
If your buying from an exporter, good luck with out knowing who he sells to,and if he's never dealt with you at all ,good luck at even getting what you asked for.
It took me years to find the right connections for rays,but not just for the ray but for the quality ,and too make sure they ship and do what i need them to do until it gets to me.
I wish you all the luck in the world to get it going and to make money to pay for your schooling.But i would bring my expectations to the lowest point possible so you wont be dissapointed and if things work out then you'll pleasently surprised.
