Any Louisville, KY MFKers with power?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
JD, wish I saw this thread earlier. Just yesterday I was wondering how you were doing since you were farther out from town. Glad to see you got power back.

Thanks man, you still in town? How did you make out?

My best buds parent's house had a giant tree fall through their roof, second floor and stopped once it hit the first floor! :WHOA: They had a tree fall on their house during the storm in September that just crashed through their roof and it alone cost $30K in damage! :(

Oh yeah, if youre still in town and going to be in town awhile join the Louiville Tropical Fish Fanciers. I am giving a lecture on rays in May, should be fun! :grinno::screwy::eek: :uhoh:

Hit me with a link for that, it sounds interesting. I've also been looking to join a local club. I'm in Louisville a bit more after graduating from ND. Law school at UK now, so going back and forth is easier.

I was in Lexington for the storm, it shut things down Tues-Thurs, but Wednesday was the worst. Some people in Lex lost power, but I was alright in my apartment. My parents in Middletown lost power intermittently Tuesday night, but it was fine the following morning.

Thats good you managed with out too much problems. They got it bad in western Kentucky. Some counties had a 100% power outage and they are saying it could be 30+ days until every one gets power back on. :(

I'd love a country music star to get on TV and say, "Obama hates rednecks" hehe :grinno:

For the club, google "Louisville tropical Fish Fanciers" and you should find their homepage with information as well as their yahoo group. Its only like $10-15 a year for membership which aint bad considering there is a smal;l auction after every meeting (mostly livebearers and cichlids but you can occasionally find some good deals as well as good deals on dry goods) and there are also two big auctions in spring and fall. The guest speakers are usually really good too.
