good luck getting them to pair off.. That's the hardest part. I had another female red dragon lay eggs the other day with a thai silk but the thai silk didn't fertilize them. I have faith in this KML and red dragon though because the courtship seems to be going so well with them. It's not like I wanted those 2 to pair off but if they're going to make me some free fry why not just see what I end up with.. I finally got a successful spawn out of my amphilophus sagittae (first good spawn since the move) so I finally know my water is good enough for fish to breed in. I'm going to have to start setting up fry tanks soon..
ya really, i hate when fish are like that, i have 3 red ceibals, 2 males 1 female, they are up to size but guess what, they go homosexual and swim together and try and beat up my female. You know what happens if you get some fry, right????
I feed my 3mm nls twice a day, then piscine mysis shrimp twice a day, and twice a week water changes of about 30-40%, my male kml is getting big, he is about atleast an 1.5" larger. i am guessing around 3". my smaller fry get 1mm, plus bloodworms, and one of them gets cutteri( he is in the tank with them and has killed 2 rainbows and 1 cutteri so far, sorry if this breaks your heart cam.).
I have my fry eating chingmix staple, kensfish no carb pellets, sinking xtreme sinking cichlid pellets, omega one super color sinking cichlid food and a few other random things like flake and freeze dried krill.
