A FR hardtail? You are brave indeed! My FR bike, an Uzzi SLX, has six inches of front travel and seven inches of rear travel to hopefully keep me out of the emergency room. *crosses fingers*

Man, you guys got some sweet bikes!!

I started XC with an older Fisher hardtail, but I want to get a higher end bike.

fishnutham: Your Klein is hot!! I entered their design contests trying to win one of there bikes a few years ago. What components are you gonna put on it?

i'm bucking the trend with a spram drivetrain and titec cockpit wtb rims and werwolf tires unless i can get mavics cheap

Before I got my Demo, I had a P.3. Granted, it was an awesome bike for urban freeriding, on the mountain, it was another animal. I couldn't tell you how many times I've eaten it because of it. If you're serious about FR, DH especially, check out Ebay and be patient. Pick up a good used fully suspended bike and you'll enjoy the sport much more. If you're in the NJ area, I can hook you up with an 05 Specialized Big Hit Pro? used for a season as a rental.

Looking back though, I think starting off on a hard tail has only made me a better ride. Anyone else feel the same?

BTW, anyone ever see The Collective? I've had the movie for over a year, and still watch it everytime before we hit up a spot. It's THAT good.
