  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I have been looking for a istlanum for about a month now, rapps had it on his stock list awhile ago now they just vanished.polomax 24 that is a very nice istlanum.

Okay. I took some pics with my wife's camera.

The hait is a slow grower. Just started getting some growth in the past 3-4 months.

Wow, lookin good!

Thanks. They both have a long way to go. The odo lacks the adult spots and I think the istlanum may catch him in growth. The picture is not the best shot of the dorsal, anal and tail fins of the odo.

The istlanum is from some that Rapps had last Fall. I sold two females to a breeder that already had a male so maybe we will see some more available soon.

I got home a little while ago to see my large pair in breeding dress. I took a couple pics. but they did'nt come out very good and I did'nt want to push it, so I picked the better looking one. The male is getting close to 6", the female is about 3".

i got 20 healthy ones in and for 3 days had no problems then i lost one per day for 4 days in a row for no apparent reason. since then i havent lost any (knocks on wood). are you keeping your temp way up? i keep mine on 86-87 in this tank as they are native to very warm waters.

I had a heater crapp out the other day, and the rest of the fry died when temps got below 75'F. But hope ma & pa will be at it again soon.

thanks for all the articles on the haits you sent, it has helped me in my quest to keep these guys and given me a much better understanding of what it takes to keep them healthy
