any one raise Black Belt cichlids?

They can vary in color and pattern quite a bit. Some look almost clean silver with a very clean/solid black belt. Other have random black specling all over them, some have a more slate base, other a more blue/green base, each with varying amounts of red in the fins and face and some with hardly any at all. There's one variant that lacks the black belt altogether. lol

Thanks for all that information .. i didn't realize there were so many different patterns and color varied a bit from one to the other.. that really makes it nice i think.. nothing boring about black belts all the way around

Yes mine look like they will be a white color with black specs so far.. do you have a pic of yours.. one of mine was dark but lightened up now..

My Black belts are growing and so far all is well.. they are not as pretty as i thought they would be..does this occur as adults? So far very little color or do i just have a different type.. i wish some of you would post some pics so i can see them older.. heres mine..his tail is a little frayed.. the two must be nipping each other from time to time..otherwise healthy.here is a pic of one of them..does anyone know this type..curious what it will look like as an adult.
