Any predatory fish that don't jump?

If you want to get a dat, get one because you are interested in them, not merely because they don't jump.

And I would presume that would be so for any fish.
Not to contest your thoughts Midwater Midwater , but isn't part of the research phase making sure that you end up with stock that will be suitable to what you intend to house it in? It is wise to buy fish that will be suitable for their intended home, especially if you already own it. Just my 2 cents worth 🤷‍♂️

Yes.

I was going to add, "... get one because you are interested in them, and you can properly house them ..."

Yeah, although I live in Thailand, getting Dat is easy, but I'm kind of into America and Africa fish more so if you have any recommendations, you can tell me.

Dovii get huge and are beautiful, but they don't play nice 🤷‍♂️

Agreed, I love large American Cichlids so much, but in Thailand, I don't see anyone who sells Dovii, Red Devil and Midas though. They're kinda rare here. I have a Jaguar though.
But i know a fish which is commonly available in thailand. Zebra tilapia(buttikoferi cichlid). They are a extremely aggressive large growing african cichlid with a lot of personality and aggression.

This might surprised you, they're banned in Thailand since they've become an invasive species here. IDK if people still illegally sell them.
