Any scuba divers on MFK?

finally a moderator who makes sense! I've been trying to go diving, fishing, mfk meeting, biking, walking, and all other verbings you can imagine with people around here to no avail. Shoot me a pm if you ever come down (bf optional). The guy who certified me is a hall of fame diver (over 7000 dives!!!), and he always gets me good deals.

I scuba. Favorite all time place was a small island off of Bali. Only thing on the island was a temple and it was surrounded by batcaves with floors of the cave being the reef! Also love going to hawaii during whale season. You can hear the whales while you dive!!!

scuba AND fishing?!? Sounds perfect. I am in the middle of classes too, so diving now is a little dumb. Where do you study? I am at UM.

I am at VCC hoping to move to sfl next year to attend FAU but may do SFU depends on who is offering animal biology/conservation biology. What are you studying?

Psychobiology/Neuroscience on the Premed track. I was going to do marine science, but sold myself out

nice something I probably wouldnt get. Med is the big thing right now and alot of jobs are in it, so its not a bad place to go. Probably wouldnt find a job in Marine Biology x__x I know 5 people from a few years ago who have degrees and other levels and edu in Marine and still dont have jobs 2 of the girls I talked to about a year ago still worked as waitress.

also sorry for the derail, but one last story...

my friend kathryn's father works as a a director at wood's hole. He got her a hookup, and she spent 8 months in some remote island in the pacific studying dolphin/whale behavior of a local pod. A supply boat would come by once a week, but other than that it was just her and 3 other people. Imagine cast-away with supplies and company for 8 months!!!! I know finding a job in marine bio isn't the easiest, but I would trade anything to have a job like the one she has!!!!!!

It looks like there really aren't that many of us...

Here are a couple pix from our last trip to Mexico. The jawbone is at 140' in Cenote "el Pit", just opened two years ago. The skull is in a sacrificial well about 100 miles SW of Cancun, we had to rappel 80' down to that one!

The puffer is in Tehuamixtle (Pacific coast of Jalisco).
