Any shortbody breeders still on mfk?

Lol your sb may be female. Definately trying to breed. Its got the whole breeding colors going on. I havent seen an angry carpintis throw up anythjng more than bars.

Female tex really want that silk bad but they always end up being too much for him to handle. lol he is a wuss.

Really pearly. Been wishing it would happen for awhile, the female fader is gentle so it will happen this time around.
 
Most fh would be killing 1.5" pleco fry. Not him lol.

I like some aquatic aggression haha he is a marshmellow. I felt really bad when a female kok srd beat him up when they spawned.
 
Thai silk X SB tx would be nice to get some super pearling in there...
Ya not sure whats going on with mine, will let it play out hah

Just looking closer , two of what im 90% sure are females in the SB tex's have very nice pearling, which is good for breeding, hopefully get them back to my escondido male, may set up a breeding set up/seperation for one of them and the escondido male this weekend ..
 
also, im fairly certain the SB tex in breeding dress is male...I know parrots often have a hard time determining sexe with each other , but not Texas' .... but maybe because its a parrot he is fooled? or maybe it is in fact a female ...would be nice!
 
Good luck man! No matter what you will have plenty of options with all those sb growing out.
 
Im 100% sure the sb in the back of the 1st picture of the one in breeding dress is female if that helps you at all. Very dark dorsal spot.
 
So my best looking SB whos a female is in breeding colors, shes been hitting on that male for a while but he has no interest. IM going to buy a divider right now for her and the escondido! wish me luck ill try to post pics tonight
