Any smokers? Need advice.

I know some hardcore smokers who have joined the ecig movement and now smoke on the lowest nicotine level you can without completely shutting it out.

Personally, sounds like your gf is just making excuses instead of trying good solid alternatives that have helped many people

Ive been using ecigs since before i was able to buy cigs, smoked cigs for about 2 years before that, havent shut nic out completely but it for sure is healthier, my lungs feel a lot better, its way cheaper, not much garbage from it, etc

Id go for the ecig, kangertech makes some really nice sturdy atomizers, iTaste makes the best batteries, the vv is a variable voltage (you can adjust the hit) w/ pass through (you can use it while charging), the the MVP (which i have) is sort of a brick, not crazy though like 4 inch x 1 in x 1 in, it lasts 4 days on one charge (depending on the voltage your using), has a USB port on it that i can literally charge other devices w/, since its a good size its not easily lost

Sorry for the double not letting me edit, all the other great things about ecigs have been said, but she can taper down her nic level so its a gradual thing and not quite so cold turkey. I was never agitated from it, my gf loved it over me smoking, it was always a cig before doing something but w/ the ecig you just do it wherever

This was before ecigaretts so I cant comment on them.

I started smoking in the marines. I was actually ordered to have my first cigarette. After about 3 year and smoking a pack a day, one day I realized this little white stick was controling my life and I quite cold turkey.

I think the only way to quite is cold turkey. Weening down to 10 a day is just going to make her edgy and draw out the withdrawal phase. Her body needs the nicotine at this point to feel normal so the 10 a day is just a tease. If she doesn't get the amount of nicotine her body craves she is going to feel really out of wack.

I was told and found it true for myself that there is a "rule of 3" in quitting. Each stage gets a little easier. The first 3 days suck but after that the nicotine is out of your body. The next 3 weeks is quitting the physical habit of picking something up. The next 3 months is fighting the emotional urge of having one. Like when comping with stress or something goes wrong.

So for me the first 3 days I tried to stay really busy. Take along weekend and do something fun.
The next 3 weeks it was trying to find a new habit. I took a walk outside instead of going outside for for a smoke.

The next 3 months it was self talking when things went wrong how am I going to deal with this instead of grabbing a smoke.

Continue to remind her that life with out ciagretts is so much better. And also if she really say I just need one tell her ok but wait till tomorrow. You don't have to quite for the rest of your life just don't have one today.
Hope this help.

I quit using chantix, and I highly recommend it. Because of the wellness program at work I was able to get it for free, and once I started taking it I just lost the desire to smoke and they didn't taste as good. I'm now to the point where I get grossed out if I'm sitting at a stoplight next to a driver who is smoking and it drafts into my car.

Did this screw with your head? Maybe bad dreams or change in attitude?

I wouldn't call them bad dreams, they were very vivid and I remembered them a lot better than I usually do. In fact I kind of liked having that side effect from taking it, but I was never told that my attitude changed and my thoughts while awake didn't change at all. Everyone is affected a bit differently though.

I was just thinking....how much free time does it take to smoke 30 cigs? I dont smoke so it seems like alot.
