I would like to know if your bf notices a difference in nicotine potency in roll your own and his old packs. And his opinion on a Newport vs roll your own in terms of bite and flavor.

I'll ask him. You must bear in mind that he's a recovered drug addict and smoked everything. I'm sure that will impact the answer. He did tell me last night that he likes the burn in his chest and that's a big reason of why he smokes. Text sent.

Got an answer: He sais that he doesn't notice a difference between the R-Y-O's and store bought. He also says all he smoked for 3 years was Newports when he was younger. He said that the Newports he smoked were menthol (to quote him, "They're like smoking mint cough drops" - yuk, lol!) and he doesn't smoke the menthol tobacco in the R-Y-O's.

I quit June 4th of this year after almost 15yrs of smoking. It was just time for me, and I was ready to quit for me. I have always been active and a long distance runner, so when I quit I just increased the frequency and distance of my runs. Most of the problem with quitting is in your head. I feel the best I have in a really long time and work on staying smoke free a day at a time.

Congrats on quitting. It just gets easier and easier.

Good buddy of mine wanted to quit but couldn't, so he tried the 'smoke 5 cigs in a minute' and puked his brains out and never touched it again.

Drastic but it worked.

Doesn't sound like fun but if it worked it worked.
