I agree Punk should have stayed off tv a little longer. They actually decided to bring him back this week the afternoon of the show. I think they could have waited and continued the Comic Con type appearances to really get a reaction when he returned. I like Punk too much to be upset that he's already back though.

They should of kept him away a bit longer, now the story will die too fast in the next month or 2,then it will be typical WWE with nothing great going on for story.

I agree with you guys they should of kept Punk off TV until the end of the of The Summer Slam PPV once the new WWE Champion is crowned. If I booked it I would of had Vince book a month long tourneyment to determine the new WWE Champ at summerslam. This would of given the WWE enough time to keep Punk off TV and then build interset in crowing a new champion. Cena could of been reistated and placed in a battle royal with mainly mid card heels which he would have to win to get the final tourney slot. By booking a tourney this gives them enough time to tell stories like Rey winning his first Raw Championship Title, R Truth being booked to his disadvantage, Cena's return and run to the title, Kingston run at his 1st WWE title and Del Rio reaching his destiny.

You would also be able to build feuds going forward from the outcomes. Maybe John Morrison comes back to help Eliminate R Truth from the tourney, Vickie Guerro helps Ziggler beat Bourne and then they fued for the US Title. Instead The E brings back both Cena, and replaces Vince then brings back Punk. No build up of what was about to be a great storyline and future fued.

Fishnthehoodn I really like that idea to stretch the tourni until Summerslam. I read that WWE and the creative team (never has a job title been ignored so long without cleaning house) were concerned about trying to keep the interest in Punk and capitalizing on giving him a big push now.

They could of kept Punk off WWE TV and still had exposure for the angle. The could of had him appear at a ROH show just chilling in the crowd with the WWE belt watching Colt Cabanna or had him make an appearance on Zach Ryder's youtube show. Hell they could of had him make some appearance's in Japan or at an AAA mexican wrestling event. It would of just been four weeks and they could of stretched it.

The pay off would of been the New WWE champ being presented the title by HHH after the he wins the title, only to have Punk's music hit and he walks onstage with the REal Belt in hand. Then the PPV goes off, everyone would of tooned in for Raw the next night.

Yawn .... What a horrible episode of Raw and a even worse ending. A pose off between Punk and Cena for the belt. We all knew that HHH was going to book the match but why not spice it up a little and make it a Hell in The Cell match or something a little better.
