Hello bezza83,

the last photo stands on top and was not realy sharp, are there some new good pictures of your Cephalosilurus?
Are you sure, that you have a Cephalosilurus in your picture? Possibly it is an Pseudopimelodus spec, like P.ranius ore bufonius?

Here is my Cephalosilurus. It is not good picture as well, but with my camera it is not possible to have better pictures, sorry about that. You can see the lenght of this youngster.
No idea if it is C.fowleri, C.apurense or an other one.

Really annoying my pictures post upside down. Mines about 6 inch now.

Hi mike, mine has some great colour coming along. Now I'm 90per cent sure from looking after many hours researching on line that mine is an apurensis. I would say looking at yours it's a fowleri. It looks quite dark and flat. If thebiggerthebetter or yellowcat is about they might be able to offer their opinion as they have knowledge on this type of cat.
I'm very happy as mine went into the main tank today.

Yellowcat is 3 heads above me on Pseudopimelodidae. So, keeping that in mind... my apurensis (at 10") came in very light color and it was very light as long as it was stressed. I think this fish cannot be comfortable in a stryro but it is still quite dark, so makes me think of fowleri.

Wow, lol, I need to get out of the catfish thread some. :) Seeing all these gorgeous (supposedly ugly) catfish makes me want to buy more. I think I will have quite enough after my next purchases to last for a while and then need to work on moving so that I can build some more ponds and thus get more fish lol. Gorgeous looking cats, even the one upside down in the pics. Hopefully in the future I will get to keep one of these amazing creatures. I've always loved how huge the heads are.
