Cool fish Marc....have to see if i can free up some tank space!
Another update, and new fry pics!
The little platinums are definitely growing faster than the regular ebjd's. The plats are 2 weeks younger, but are now larger than the ebjd's. I have another batch of ebjd's that are almost ready to separate from the blue genes, and two batches of wigglers that are working on becoming free-swimming. The gold het blue female is back in with the platinum male to create some more platinums. I am also bringing in some new bloodlines to outcross so I can improve the quality of my electrics and platinums. I recently picked up some blue genes from Ormed #2 line (thanks Arnold!), which is one of the very best lines of eb's out there. I also picked up some regular JD juvies that are F1's from the Cenote Escondido locale, parents collected by Rusty Wessel. That locale is known for superior color and body shape, and I figure that is as close to wild caught JD's as I am probably going to get without taking a trip down there to collect my own
So now for the fry pics--first 3 are platinums, last 3 are ebjd.
Gorgeous fishies! I is jealous! I was breeding the regular blues for years, and just started on EBlD when my sister discovered a gold. I would love to add to the collection!
