  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I passed it up for the BB.

I wouldn't mind one of these but I would worry I'd break it. that's why I get the G'zone phones.

best buy 9.99/month insurance with no deductible, doesn't matter how you break it or even if you submerge it under water.

Had mine for a couple weeks now and heres my .02...Nice phone, fun to play with and more apps being added daily. I would sum it up as a mini-laptop. Downside is some apps do not work, call for a widget to be downloaded but, when trying you are greeted with a message saying,"Coming in 2010." The gps comes in handy when searching for movie times and theaters, it recommends the closest to you. You have to be careful how you pick it up as the touch screen will open, close and, move stuff by accident. And, although verizon says there's no virus' and whatnot, I'm sure some dude in russia is working on it! I would recommend this phone though, verizon claims there is a $100. rebate, its a giftcard, you have to pay the full amount, verizon , you bastards! Oh and, battery life is horrible. I keep a charger at home and work.

Battery life on any phone I've had sucks when you use it alot. the phone I have now the G'zone it came with a secondary battery that's about twice the size of the regular one and hell if I talk alot on it it still drains pretty fast.

a couple people have talked about the battery life so i will put in my .02

obviously, the more you use it the less it will last.
on the droid (compared to the iphone) when you bring up an app, it will not close the app when you close out of it, and it will continue to run in the background, therefore draining your battery.

one of the most downloaded apps is what is called "advanced task killer"
its a free app that when you click on it it will show everything running on the phone and you just click 'kill apps' and bingo, they are gone.
things like alarm clock (if set) and text messaging will continue to run (a good thing)

there are a couple websites (including youtube) that give video tutorials on how to manage the settings for optimal battery life. Just search on youtube or in yahoo.

i will have to say right out of the box, my battery would last me about 8 hours of playing, compared to my iphone which i would have to charge, minimum, twice a day.

after the task killer, and changing the settings, i can go from unplugging it on friday morning, and not having to plug it back in until saturday night.
I do a fair amount of browsing on the net when bored and play a few games here and there, and seem to always have pandora running in the background.

sorry for the long post but battery was my number one reason of switching, well, that and verizon is 1000 times better than ATT

If it matters to those that doesn't have deep pockets...
