Anybody Got A Droid?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
ok so ive had this phone for about a week now. overall, i love the damn thing! ive played with several iphones and i can say that i like the Droid better. one thing i do give the iphone though is that its overall scrolling seems smoother and "snappier" than it does on the droid. but im sure that will get resolved with the upcoming OTA updates.

the google navigation, street view, and compass view is friggin awesome. the voice search is amazingly accurate as well. ive had no issues with the phone yet, other than with a few buggy apps.

here's a screen shot of my customized desktops. currently running 4 screens, the other two just have some apps. i have the option to run 7 but i dont need them right now.

Droid FTW :headbang2

I have the Iphone and I want to switch so bad. The phone on the Iphone sucks! I drop calls left and right and texts can take forever to go through some times. The only thing holding me back (aside from my contract with AT&T) is the music aspect. I have all my music in Itunes and it's all organized in there. I use the Ipod on my phone constantly and won't do with out it. How do you like the music part of the droid? Does it work as well as the Iphone? Did you have to reorganize your music when switching?

You know that's what I love about the Droid. Because it uses an external memory card, its easy to do whatever you want. When you hook it up to your computer and mount it basically becomes a flash drive.

You can copy and paste, drag and drop, etc. No dealing with stupid iTunes, which is the main reason why I hate apple. The music player is just as good as the iPhones. Just get your iTunes music on the computer and transfer it over to the Droid and set up the folders you want.

Honestly though, with unlimited Pandora radio I don't even use my iPod or need stupid iTunes. I have a gabillion songs I could listen to and I can even stream it to my cars speakers via Bluetooth. And its all free! :)

I've been experimenting with the imusic free app. Pretty much like playlist.com. Search, find, download. The thing thats really bugging me this week is the phone itself. You make a call, go to hang up and the stupid screen goes out so you cannot physically hang up. And when you try to make the screen light up via pushing button, it won't come on! I have to open the keyboard to force it on or accept a very long call. Hopefully this will get fixed in an update.

Oh yeah, did I mention that customer service recommends no video transfers of over 15 seconds? C'mon! (couldn't get my youtube or facebook vids to upload)

Ive had it for about a month now, i am very happy with it. So many things you can do on it and the key board is easy to get use to. I also love it the internet. Its a awesome phone. Only complaint is the battery life. With normal everyday use it must be charged whenever you get the chance, or just at night when you sleep.

really? thats weird. when im finished making a call, as the phone moves from my ear and i lay it horizontally, it lights up automatically, and i can end the call by pushing a button on the screen. sounds like a problem with your phone...

anybody have some must-have apps that they recommend?
