Anybody here ever use Sulfa Dip on there turtle?

If so how long and how many dips did it take to cure your turtles bacterial/fungal infection?

Yeah, bro it works very well on external fungal and bacterial infections.

I've never used a dip on my turtles. I use sulfa blocks with calcium as a regular additive in my turtle tank filters. I get them on ebay.

i use it on mine but not to cure any ailments, i just use it to kill anything i cant see that could be a potential problem

update...on my second day of treatment. not getting better thou not getting worse either!

sulfa dip is not for all external infections. It should be used as a preventative, but there are some legions and infections that need a anitbiodics.

I had a RES with legions on his skin and they gave my Amniglyde (sp?). I had to inject it into shoulder area of my turtle. It would have taken too long to treat if I tried to administer the meds orally.

I would have never known to use that or even know where to get it.

Take your turtle to a reptile vet.

quick update, after 5 days of 3 hour dippings squirttle is 100%
