Anybody into weight lifting/body building?

My leg day was yesterday. It SUCKS. I always end up walking out, barely.

Mine was too! What blows is you can make your muscles stronger, but not your tendons and I think my body's tellin me not to go any heavier for legs so I guess I gotta start goin lighter with more static holds and do everything slow now.

I've been lifting weights for 25yrs. My new passion for the past three years has been kettlebell's. Great for functional strength..

I stopped training legs a few months ago. I was squatting moderately heavy weight for me and I had only been training legs regularly for 2 months.(When I started working out I never trained legs) During my workout I felt great but the next day when I woke up my lower back was hurt really bad. I couldn't workout for two weeks and ever since then I've just said screw leg day. This happened months ago and I still have a really bad back.

You probably need to work on your form. Legs are the most important muscle group to work out because this is where all your power comes from when doing almost all physical activities. If I were you, I would start working legs again except start off LIGHT! Focus on your form by keeping your back straight and not letting your knees go past your toes. Once you get form down, you can start adding weight

+1 If your back hurts after leg day, your form is most likely off. I know this because I used to have terrible squat form and my lower back would feel awful afterwards

My form was ok I think. I always kept my back locked out and back then I was pretty flexible. My Dad usually works out with me and he said my form was fine but I'll give it another shot. I'm never going over 95 pounds though. I'll put my ego aside and just stick with light weight for a while. I'll let you guys know how it goes.

Do you dead lift? I used to skip it because it made me feel sick lol n my back used to ache after squats but only for a couple of days, I would start lighter like 20kg each side until your form is better and the pain stops
