Ive got a 3" fahaka in a 10 gal with 4 guppies and 2 small feeders, before that i had 4 med feeders and he hasnt even taken a bite out of any of them. two of the med feeders got a fungal disease or infection and died and the other two i tried knocking out and feeding to him but he still wouldnt touch them. what should i do im sick of seeing these feeders sitting next to my puffer and him not killing them

he wont eat frozen brine shrimp or bloodworms too =/

any suggestions?

Snails from your LFS that come on plants. The LFS will let you have them for free most of the time (get ones the size of your puffers eye).

Also, try buying live blackworms and putting them in a shallow feeding dish so the worms can't get away into the substrate.

o hell yeah i have... any of the white or sarrassa goldies i get instantly go into the pond..

saved a few in my 75 and there were a few that just never got eaten that grew pretty big, too big and i also had to move them to the pond

I just "inherited" a feeder goldie...
I was at my aunt's and she was like "oh were tired of cleaning the tank here take it".... I was like :WHOA:! She lend me her fish to put in our pond during the summer... I could not refuse, they kept the poor (now 7 inch) fish in a 10g for 5years, ... they had 3 goldies and one pleco in there... recently yet another goldie died and there is only the biggest one left... I kinda hope the poor thing will die during the summer so it won't have to go back in its tiny tank....
I doubt it will last much longer anyway, there are some blood-looking splotches underneath its scales at some places... :( I'll incite them to take a beautiful betta next time! :)

Its kinda too big for a feeder now though! :nilly:

In my current batch of feeders theres one goldfish that was ment to be a fantail but only ended up with the top part of his tail fin. Hes big and round and fat and slow. He will be the last to go.

lol, yeah red SH's... i once had a feeder catfish that escaped predation and got to 2+' over 2 years.
and one time, my sister took a fancy to one of my feeder platys, i let her have it and it lived in it's own 5gal till she left for uni. nice fat feeder it turned out to be.
