Anybody keep/kept a feeder?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I had a lot of feeder guppies and also included where the 3 small mollies. My fishes ate all the guppies exept the 3 mollies until they grew.

I bought 16 feeders to cycle my new pond and they all died except for two. They survived murky, algae infested water, 100% water changes, and the koi that I added weeks later which were small then twice their size.

one day i decided to treat my bass to a goldfish as a treat, i tossed it into the tank and the bass flew out of the plants and swam straight towards it, then suddenly, he stopped abruptly right in front of the goldie i dont know why but he seemed nervous of this little orange thing and he eventually gave up. so i scooped out the goldie and threw it into a ten gallon so the convict wouldn't beat it to death. the goldfish died a few weeks later but i thought it was interesting that the bass would not eat it

I have:

i did on accident it grew to big and nothin could eat it so i hung on to it still have it its a normal comet/ feeder goldfish right now its about 6''-7'' and almost 10'' with fins it has or we'll had huge fins till it got whooped by my jaguar its all most 3 years old

Mine are not feeders, but I bought them to cycle a tank and that was more than two years ago (before I was wise to fishless cycling). Two 7" Comets are now the proud inhabitants of one of my 55g tanks and they're lovin' life. I've been wanting to use that tank for more interesting fish for a long time but nobody wants the comets and I just can't get myself to drop them off at the LFS.
