You have to remember that kanye is a beat man. He made the Blueprint, and alot of Nas' stuff. All that kweli and common stuff is his too. He's been behind the scenes so much that he had you take his turn.

Hate to tell you white people, but just because you site Tribe, it doesn't make you cool. I appreciate the attempt but listening to Tribe, Public enemy, and De La and then flaunting it without listening to the real stuff is foolish.
I would suggest that everyone listen to more Nas, and listen to his words closely. Also hit up some Pharcyde. AZ is pretty good too, and Talib Kweli is exactly what Hip Hop should be.

Ok, ok...I'm calm. I kind of took the not cool thing and the foolish thing as an insult. Also, the white people thing kind of came off as an attempt at degrading the race(being a rap thread). It seems that every time there is a discussion about rap (not just on MFK), it is inevitable that, eventually, someone will say that white people don't know what they are talking about...Or they shouldn't be listening to rap.

No hard feelings of course. I am not saying that white people shouldn't listen to hip hop. I think the exact opposite. Everyone should listen to rap. The only thing is that i've noticed (alot where I live) that SOME people (usually white) will list rap that the trends say is cool as thier favorite. Right now that's tribe and that's public enemy. I think that it's great that people are giving hip hop a chance but it would be better I think if they listened to all the stuff out and then decided for themselves what is good.
If you don't already use it go to pandora.com and make a few hip hop stations along with whatever else you like. It will realy widen your musical horizon.
