you need to buy key date certified coins at the right price.

This is the only approach, IMO, that combines investment potential with numismatist endeavor. I can't afford American gold; American copper is much more exciting for me. American silver is still well-priced, and the tremendous interest in silver bullion in the early 80s shrank mintages.

I keep looking for that 1909 S VDB.

I just get them from change at super markets,why buy proofed coins from the U.S. Mint? I'm really not interested in selling them since there are probably tons of other people doing the same thing.
