Ok, I have removed the old set up- my wet friends are in assorted areas of the garage, the 55 has the big ones, the silver dollars are in the sumptank 15g, and my sunfish is in a 5 gallon bucket. Heated where needed and pretty much all filters are on the 55...~600gph I'd venture.
Ran into my first problem, the bottom tank, being a 90 gallon, I never thought to meaure height! Damn!!!
Well I have it set up but not sure if I like the arrangement. Here's a pic.
As you can see, I have to have it pulled out about 6" to be able to get the lids to work, but the bulbs for the lights are accessible as is the rest of the tank, it just looks, well big! This will be my bichir/African tank- no cichlids.
Not sure if I like it, but the option is to remove the 'T' of the lower shelf ie: front bar and middle support, to set this 90 on the floor like it was. This removes a lot of the stability of the original stand, but I dunno about my modified stand. I will hold, just concerned about aesthetics...
Opinions?
