Anyone else enjoy goldfish?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
My goldfish in their "pond". I realized I can stand in the spare room and take pics of them :D

The mesh is to deter the birds and whatnot from trying to fish out my fish. Unfortunately it doesn't stop assorted debris from getting in as you can see in the pic.

Its hard to believe the smallest one (the white one) is over 5", they look tiny in there!

Nice pond@ kittiee katt
I have caught grasscarp in the 80 pound range and have seen them much bigger,we catch em on 8lb line and u need to set your drag so they can take line,we use bread and panfish hooks, the fights can last several hours.

Forget LMB, if you want a REAL fight, Smallmouth are the strongest fish, pound-for-pound I ever known. The aerial acrobatics and dancing across the water surface on their tails and excitement is ridiculous. We use 4lb. test and Ultralight tackle in rivers/creeks/streams and smaller lakes, but for larger lakes, 6lb test might be a better choice.

head up to the Great Lakes if you want some serious Bassin'.

On second thought, you shouldn't be too far from the Illinois River - they caught BULL SHARK outta that river not too long ago

We slay em statewide in Illinois, and up through Michigan. Its a family tradition.

I absolutely love my comet- he's 12 and has such a great personality! I won him at a fair when he was super tiny- it's been great watching him grow
