Oscars.
After 2-4 months, they always get sick. Or get boring and skittish.

Common plecos always die on me for some reason.

I've kept rubbernose, clowns, Gibby's, and even a Royal for a good while that all did well for me. But the commons never make it longer than a few weeks.

Green Terrors. The first one I had for about 6 months, one day stopped eating and started pooping white, showed no interest in food for weeks. I finally had to euthanize. The second one lasted a couple weeks, before he too stopped eating and started the stringy white poo. I treated both with everything I could think of, but with no luck.
I should have put that on the list too, never fails that something happens to eveyone I've ever kept. Illness , power outage while i'm on vacation, mystery death, always something:wall:

Asian Arowana, Freshwater Stingrays, and Gars for legality issues.

Bala sharks also seem to die on me all the time!

Also, fancy goldfish have died on me for no apparent reason. I had a beautiful black oranda for about 9 months before I found her dead one day.

I was in a LFS a few weeks ago and stumbled across a P. Menarambo. I shouldn't have bought it but I couldn't help myself. I currently have him in my Severum tank and I just know he will end up being too aggressive for this mix but for some reason I just can't part with him. Now I'm looking at buying a group so he will have some buddies but I have absolutely no place to house Madagascar fish. I'll probably just end up keeping the lone male till he gets too aggressive.

I can't seem to keep A. Panamensis. Everyone I've ever owned has died on me.

Haitian Cichlid-almost ordered one this weekend-but I am so scared to lose them I decided against it. In my opinion, one of the hardest fish to keep alive.

Couldnt keep my nandopsis haitiensis alive past 3-4" I had 7. I'll try again, I think I can do it now :)

I got a pair of Trimacs from Rapps a few weeks ago and the male died after a couple of days. I decided not to pay that much again. I would much rather have had the male survive.

I have had bad luck with Green Terrors. I had a large male that was beautiful. One evening I cam home and did not see him in the tank. I looked and he was on the floor. I put him back in and he survived. I thought it was a freak accident since there was only about a 2" crack between the glass cover and the side of the tank for the HOB filters to fit in. A few weeks later the same thing happened and he didn't survive. I recently purchased another male GT that got beat up by my firemouth's (sme size) so I returned him to the LFS.
