Anyone else have trouble with this eheim part?!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
weird . . . yeah, it sounds like you're in a unique situation; I've got five eheims and none of 'em has ever had this problem . . .

if the GF installs them, at least you'll have someone to blame if it doesn't work :)

More importantly, where are the pics of the new girlfriends? We haven't had the pleasure of giving you our approval on this one yet. :p

:D This one is every bit as sweet as the last. Just less psycho lol not my GF yet but "My girl" seems to fit. I like the idea of her installing it so I have someone to blame  Although she might have banana hands too I was tutoring her in Hapkido after all :screwy::grinno:

I have not use the Eheim brand double tap but I have some Marineland double tap valves that went bad after a few months. I was so pissed cuz I paid $8 a pop for one of these. In fact I was so pissed I slapped some silicone glue on it to make it an ATTACHED valve.:nilly: One of my Eheim 2026 Pro II is also leaking from the quick release valve. I think it's time to replace the O-ring. I think Lowes carry a full line of O-rings. Just bring your original o-rings and compare it.

Last week I was able to fix a leak on the coralife with plumber tap. This stuff is a miracle and save me from spending $60 on a new unit.

Wont petroleum jelly break down rubber?
I don't know where you get this fact from but if it's true why would they use petroleum jelly on contraceptives.:D

Petroleum Jelly DOES break down rubber over time. The correct lubricant for rubber is silicone grease!

Thanks for the additional input guys... I got it down to a drop a minute and I am gonna have my girl install the new ones well see how it goes. Keep in mind this is to be my third pair of tap valves :nilly::nilly:

Have you tried the plumber tape like I suggested yet? If it works you might be able to save your valve.
