Ok, sorry for bumping an old thread but I wanted to update and clarify. The fish were rehomed to a gentleman with a 240 gallon tank and were thriving last I heard.
But this thread was really lighthearted to begin with. The male was always harmless, and the female liked her log. Yes, the male would put on a show but he never harmed or even stressed her. He never even properly chased her, and she never exhibited any signs of stress, they both ate well and looked great, they were well taken care of with minimum 50% water changes weekly and overfiltration.
Anyway, I miss those two goofy fish and I'll try to find the gentleman who adopted them for an update.

LOL I could barely finish this nonsense. Are we projecting much? You have incompatable fish. Put two males together and you will see the same thing one is going to dominate the other.
