stingrays = possible

arowans = not.....

wether it be black, white, asian, green, orange, red, silver. aros breeding in captive is just harder then any other species. why is that you ask? because if you even get a pair to pair up, they usually go on a long mission of miles n miles (which is why ponds are required to even attempt) n get away from everyone else to try to breed so they feel safer. in an aquarium. there isn't miles n miles of swimming available.

stingrays will breed in a bucket. they jus need to hump n thats it.

sounds like they migrate? haha

Would love to see someone breeding silvers ( and blacks , because I don't see why they should be more difficult than silvers ). Both SA's must surely be more difficult than asians, because you have loads of people breeding the latter in asian countries.

Having said this, I must say that, as Ethnics stated, I grew up with the "certainty" that aro couples needed to swim around a big pond/lake to be able to breed. That is, I must say, a widely existing "misconception" for many of us Aro guys.

Even you Robco ( I may be wrong and may have misread your posts ) have the silvers ( and how I envy you..28?!?! ) in a pond and not in a tank, albeit a large one, right?

I still remember the day my "misconception " started to shatter. It was when I read about a poor vietnamese guy who had a couple of silvers in a tub, and that they were breeding like convicts...By tub, the article meant a tub, not a pond...

The second blow come when, already in MFK, I saw a Youtube video of a couple of asians coupling inside a tank and a second video where one saw tha male picking the egs up....

sorry for the extended post:)
