I dont think he tried to eat him, but he did poke a hole in his side and didnt bother him again....cuz the crawdad died...couple days later. It was weird, you could see inside the crawdad shell the muscles moving when he walked....weird.

I had a tiny male kenyi cichlid appear in my tank a few months ago. Wasn't sure what he was at the time and have NO idea where he came from but he is about 3" now and is living happily in my African tank. I also know someone who got a tadpole with their feeders and grew it into a monster frog that eats mice. And I have gotten 4 free African cichlids when they were accidentally scooped up with the ones I actually bought. The girl said whatever and I got 7 fish for the price of 3.
